Process For Submission and Acceptance of Swine

  1. Donating investigators should read and agree to the terms outlined in Terms and Conditions of Strain Submission.

  2. Fill out the Strain Submission Application and Agreement Form and submit it on-line. A completed Application Form will be generated from the information you provide. It will be displayed and a copy e-mailed to you.

  3. The NSRRC Advisory committee will review applications and issue decisions on submitted strains. You will be notified by e-mail of the status of your strain submission within 60 days of completion of your Strain Submission Application.

  4. If your strain is provisionally accepted, you will be asked to submit more detailed information and a description of your genotyping protocol. You must complete the Breeding and Husbandry Form, submit it on-line and provide documentation of your genotyping protocol and a recent Health Status report within two weeks.

  5. After the Strain Profile information is reviewed and accepted, you will be notified by e-mail with the contact information for the NSRRC node selected to take your strain.

  6. After verifying your genotyping protocol, the NSRRC will contact you to arrange transfer of your pigs.
